Cardin explains that the advanced communication training program to help healthcare professionals increase their skills and knowledge, and to improve their communication skills with patients and colleagues.

The evaluation of the study was that the training empowered healthcare professionals to be more empathetic, particularly when having difficult conversations with patients and their families. This resulted in positive impacts on. patient care.

Cardin goes on to discuss the presentation on a regional primary cancer care framework in Wales, which focused on educating cancer care professionals about person-centred care.
