Description

This module focuses on global strategies to reduce the prevalence of tobacco use, including; implementing strategies on a global scale, an overview of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) and specifically Article 14 of the FCTC.

This e-learning course is comprised of 8 modules exploring how to deliver an effective cessation programme to your patients. The content was developed alongside experts in Tobacco Cessation from King's College London.

Target Audience

This module is for health professionals/students looking to expand their knowledge in the field of tobacco addiction with a focus on tobacco dependence treatment.

Learning Objectives

Participants will gain knowledge and understanding of:

  • How tobacco dependence treatment fits into an overall worldwide tobacco control strategy.
  • An introduction to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC).
  • An introduction to Article 14 of the FCTC.
Accreditation

This course awards the learner 4 CME points upon successful completion and passing of the assessment.
