Summary This e-learning module has been developed in collaboration with International Society of Geriatric Oncology.

This module covers best practices and the challenges that come with managing colorectal cancer in older patients. The information in this module is based on the position paper by Papamichael, D et al. ‘Treatment of colorectal cancer in older patients: International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) consensus recommendations 2013’.

Target Audience

This module is for medical practitioners who wish to gain knowledge on the SIOG recommended guidelines for the management of colorectal cancer in older patients.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the module, learners should be able to:

  • To appreciate the specific challenges faced by clinicians managing older CRC patients.
  • To know what treatments are available for older CRC patients, both in the adjuvant as well as advanced disease setting.
  • To understand and apply treatment decisions to older CRC patients.

CME credits are no longer available for this module.
